Central Middle to transition to iPads next year...

CMS students, parents, and staff...take a second to check out this link.  With our new iPads, the sky is certainly the limit.

Using iPads in Education

It is going to be a beautiful thing...I am so excited.  As your librarian, there are so many ways we can read, learn and share literature.

Attention all of Apple Users under the sound of my keystrokes!

Recently, our technology facilitator, John Blake (jblake@whiteville.k12.nc.us), sent an email just like he does any time he finds something that we can use...this time I clicked and found information for which I have searched high and low to no avail.

www.macmost.com  is a comprehensive source for the Apple Users in your life.  I am posting this link not only to my Delicious account, but also to the Media Center wikipage.  When we cannot find Mr. Blake or if you don't have a Mr. Blake in your life please depend on MacMost to answer your questions!

No, Mr. Blake, it won't make you as outdated as an Apple IIe....when can't Mac without you.

Bar Mitzvah for my nephew, Adam Cholodofsky

We enjoyed our day in Pittsburgh with Adam Cholodofsky at Temple David.  Thanks for including us in your big day. I can't wait to share this experience with the 7th graders as they have studied Judaism.

End of the Year Activities

This year is quickly coming to a close...we have some items to take care of:
*  books will be returned beginning Monday, June 3 with 8th graders, Tuesday, June 4 with 6th graders and Wednesday, June 5 with 7th graders.
*  each homeroom teacher will receive a print out in his/her box the following morning to check off those students who return books after their grade level's assigned date.
*  those who have items still out from EES or CMS last year/years before are still responsible for those items.
*  NO ONE WILL RECEIVE REPORT CARDS if they have items out/have not cleared their accounts by returning or replacing (paying for) those items.

If you feel that we have an error on your account, we will assist you in the stacks to locate the book you have on your account.  If it has been turned in and not credited properly, we will scan them item and clear your account.
